Monique's Story
Life
I didn't graduate from Tascosa, but grew up and lived in Amarillo up to my senior year in high school. I actually graduated from Monterey High School, but graduated early. After high school, I went to Texas Tech for about a year. I met my husband at a fast food restaurant. I worked in the drive thru and he placed an order. We have been married now for 19 years. I have 2 beautiful girls who keep me extremely busy. My oldest daughter is 18 and a freshman at Tech. She is on the Tech Twirling Line with the Going Band. I couldn't be prouder. She has grown to be a wonderful young lady and is an absolute joy. My youngest daughter is 11 and a little doll. She is in band, basketball, and hopefully will follow her sister and become a twirler herself. I work as a Computer Systems Support Administrator and love it. tems. I am now working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems. After earning my Bachelor's Degree, I hope to move up to an Area System Support Manager, then as a Regional System Support Manager for the company I work for. I figure if you are gonna dream, dream big !! Other than playing on computers, doing school work for my degree, I love spending time with my girls. We go to football games (Go Tech !!) to watch my oldest twirl, band concerts, basketball games (little league for now), movies, and of course to the mall. I have taught my girls well.... Shop til you drop !! We have fun together and I am grateful for that. I believe if you spend time with your children while they are young, get them involved with school activities, they will do well and want to continue to do well. This is my life, busy and never a dull moment. But I wouldn't change it for the world !!
